Where did Jason Terry's kid play high school hoops?

There was a pissing match on BA a few days ago about Fearleon scoring against Gary Trent in a pickup game v. SBH taking it to Vic Alexander (I think that was his imaginary adversary). I once competed against Jason Terry, several years out of college, in a 3-on-3 Gus Macker tourney. Six-footer on tip toes v. seven-footer.

Jason Terry's son played for Albany Alexander, I think.

Liked that he was aggressive in the paint and was dunking in traffic. Sounds like he has made quite a transition w/regards to his physical conditioning. Hope he can take it to the next level and give us some solid minutes. I think he can...

Go Bobcats!

Impressed by his agility in the paint and his handles and his ability to just simply catch the ball and rebound in traffic. Catching the ball....so key for a big man who plays the game of basketball. Keep working hard this summer big man.

Always great to hear the stories of Bobcat Attackers going up against Bobcat hoop legends on the hardwood.

Ran pick up with Sonny Troutman, Jeff Halbert, Whit Davis and Bubba Walther (who looking back, must have been on some type of unofficial/official visit because he wasn't on the Ohio roster at the time) at Ping. They would mostly all guard each other, but two scenarios stuck out in my head:

- Those guys would mostly guard each other, but in one instance Bubba got an outlet on a break and I had to guard him because someone got caught under the rim. I heard a couple guys behind me say "he's gonna pull D him up!" and I'm thinking there's no way, he's barely to half court. Sure enough, about three steps past half court he pulled up and canned a three and I was too late on the close out. I couldn't do anything but shake my head and laugh.

- I was lucky enough to be on Sonny's squad and he made it really easy for me. He would drive the lane the entire game and either score or dish. I just spotted up in the corner. I hit a couple shots, enough for him to dub me his "secret weapon" for a couple games.

Unrelated to Ohio, when I was getting my grad school degree at Xavier I used to play pick up ball with Byron Larkin all the time. Dude was a machine even in his I wanna say mid-40s at the time. He was probably only going about 75-80% of what he could do and still torched us every day. The real fun days were when other former players would come join us and then they really turned it up a notch. He and BJ Raymond would go at it and the rest of us could do nothing but watch and question why we're on the floor with two former All Americans.

I once saw Bota and D-Lowe play one-on-one.

I once saw KVK put Bubba in a headlock in the heat of an argument in a pick up game.

Only time I got on the court with a player was against Stephen King who lit the gym on fire and even two hand dunked. One time I swished a pull up three on football D-lineman Ernie Hodge.

My favorite topic....I played with or against a lot of guys...Hunter, Esterkamp, Flomo, Steve King, Matt Annen, Bota, Sonny, Whit Davis, Bubba, Jeff Halbert, Jaivon Harris, Leon etc.

Favorite guy to play with was Delvar Barrett which was mostly after he graduated. He was funny, loud, and just a really nice guy.

Jaivon Harris stopped me once walking down Union St about 2:30 AM to give me some respect for "killing" in a 3 on 3 tourney we won earlier in the day over by Jefferson.

Other notable hoop career match ups over the years...
A roughly 12 year old and heavily protected Bronny James.

Derek Tarver, who announced prior to the game starting "this MFer, isn't going to score any more today". He was mostly right. We reminisced about him hanging 41 on the Cats back in the day too.

Haven't played in about 5 years, man I miss it.

Oh man the football players were my favorite. Once football season was over they would pack Ping and just go at each other all the time. Some of those DBs and WRs could jump out of the gym. Saw Kalvin McRae in there a couple times but he was the only one I recognized without a helmet on.

Only basketball guy I've been privileged to play against was Clayton - no one wanted to guard him in the paint after he proceeded to posterize the biggest guy on our team

I've also ran into a few football guys playing pickup, Vonnie Watkins in particular. Super nice guy!
